Our Story

We Make Keyboards for Builders

We started down this path due to my never-ending 'itchiness'.

What is 'The Itch'?

You see, there's nothing I love more than starting new nerdy projects, and then building them into something that runs smoothly, with all the numerous parts coming together to form a pride-inducing end-product.

Maybe you can relate. You start an art or craft project, tying together all the raw materials and working and refining those materials until they transform into the idea you envisioned, the one that kicked off the whole project in the first place.

It's the same with programming software, building businesses, decorating and filling rooms and spaces, woodworking, drawing... whatever your craft of choice is.

There's only one problem: building becomes addictive!

You complete one project or finally see your systems come together to produce an end-result you're proud of. Maybe you take a moment to let it sink in: "I built this!"

And if you're cut from the same cloth as me, that's when 'the itch' kicks in.

Builders Don't Have a Choice

It can be a new idea that spawned from the last. Maybe it's a burning thought for an improvement, or a whole new way of doing something that you suspect could open up a whole new area to you. Or you just want to do it over again, it was so challenging and fun the last time!

Whatever it is, it gets you building. Here we go again.

Now a smarter person might seek more balance in their life at this point. A therapist might suggest that there's something deeper going on.

Personally, I decided that building is what life is all about

I leaned into it, deciding that while I'm able, I'm going to build as much as I can.

And I also decided that if I was going to dedicate my life to building, I needed the right tools for the job. The best tools I could find.

I'm starting with the keyboard.

I wanted keyboards that will help build my digital products - code, art, businesses and stories. I wanted keyboards that felt like natural extensions of my thoughts, letting me put down words and code and execute commands with next to zero friction... they just get out of the way and let me build.

I think this will evolve into more than keyboards, but right now we are setting out to build the world's only Keyboards for Builders

We're starting with our macropad called the BuilderBox, and you can learn all about that and our other products by checking out our store and following along with our YouTube Videos and Build.Log where we are publicly sharing the process of building our keyboard brand.

If this resonates with you, if you've already felt the 'builders itch' or you think you want to make building a central component of your life, then welcome to the tribe. Make sure you follow our path.

Keep building, friend.
